Volvo Genuine Tires
Volvo selects tires for each model based on load rating, speed rating, handling profile, and noise characteristics. The tire specified for your XC60 is not the same as the tire specified for an EX90. Load ratings, rolling resistance targets, and handling characteristics differ significantly between models and trim levels.
Not every tire that physically fits your Volvo is appropriate for it. Using an incorrectly rated tire can affect braking distance, increase road noise, and reduce handling precision. When to Schedule Tire Service
Several situations call for a tire service appointment:

How often should I rotate my Volvo's tires?
Volvo recommends rotating tires every 7,500 miles under normal driving conditions, or at every oil change visit. Regular rotation evens out wear differences between the front and rear axles, extending the life of all four tires.
Can I put any brand of tire on my Volvo?
Not all tires are appropriate for every Volvo model. Volvo specifies tires by load rating, speed rating, and size for each vehicle. My TPMS light is on. Does that mean I need new tires?
Not necessarily. The TPMS light indicates that one or more tires is at least 25 percent below the recommended inflation pressure. This can be caused by a slow leak, temperature change, or a faulty TPMS sensor, not always by tire wear. Bring the vehicle in so we can identify the cause.
How do I know if my Volvo's tires need to be replaced?
The most reliable indicators are tread depth below 4/32 inch, visible cracking or bulging on the sidewall, or tires that are more than six years old.
